SASSA Will Take Expert Services to Fernie Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency mentioned it can be alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] SRD is to reach-out into a superior variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office devoted to service the area daily. The assistance place created for intervention encounters a superior influx of prospective read more beneficiaries, that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to empower the servicing of all customers and boost use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
